The Stage 32 Videos: Cult Films

Sponsored by Donner Family Farms and BBQ restaurants (fictitious); Krappo’s Playhouse is a dark humor variety show in the format of a 1950’s kids show, hosted by an emotionally unstable clown, assisted by the announcer, and Black Hercules. Living in an old dilapidated carnival, Krappo entertains his collection of children with public domain films, cartoons, and shorts. Segments of the show will include audience interactions that go horribly wrong, guest performances, a puppet show and the occasional visit by circus freaks. In addition, several fictional commercials will be made to further develop the alternate universe in which the show exists.
